Nick Sebekopoulos - ACHMI. A dreamy solo work by the guitar player of the legendary greek band The Drops. Electric guitar and greek lyrics create a strange bittersweet atmosphere. Take the trip  here.

The Crazed - Black Skies Roll (EP, vinyl rip). 2012.

  Dark, hellish, raw psychoblilly from Thessaloniki! The Crazed play since 2000 but they released their first LP "Moonlight's Out" in 2010. 

  This is their second vinyl - an Extended Play vinyl (limited copies) with five soul crashing doomed psychobilly anthems. They also play an excellent cover of "Thirteen" by Misfits.

  All of you who love ghoulish dark roots psychobilly should support the band buying the record. Check the label's site  here.

Venus In Furs - Dead Europe (LP, vinyl rip). 2012.

This is the second and most recent LP by this amazing Greek darkwave band. They formed in the middle '80s when the darkwave was turning into gothic and they became a legendary band. Their first record was released in 2010 including the songs from the '80s and in 2012 another LP was out with new songs.

Their unique talent in making deeply melancholic excellent songs is still there! With the originality of the past and the technology and ideas of now, this is one of the best "gothic" records of 2012.

These songs were released in vinyl only by B-other side records (only 300 copies) so all you vinyl lovers can order your record in the label's site.

Killing Joke - Revelations (LP, vinyl rip). 1982.

   Killing Joke’s gothic rock grew exponentially more sludgy and brutal with each passing album; by the mid 80s they were basically a metal band. Still, their early records were terrific: particularly their third, Revelations, which they recorded with krautrock overlord Conny Plank. 
   During the making of the album the band immersed themselves in the occult, succumbing to the paranoia that such an obsession inevitably yields, especially when paired with heavy drug use.
    In 1982, right after the release of this record, singer Jaz Coleman moved to Iceland, in order to survive the imminent apocalypse, with his bandmates following soon after. The apocalypse never came, and Killing Joke duly lost their mojo (from Fact magazine).
   This third album is characterized by "the wall of sound" production with Kraut rock elements. Two of their best tracks are here: "The Hum" (a gothic/metal/kraut masterpiece) and the speedy metal-punk "Land of milk and honey".

"In Goth Daze" - VA Compilation (LP, vinyl rip). 1989

   This strange and rare compilation (the full title is "In goth daze - Now that's what we call real music") was released in England by Flicknife records back in 1989 and it includes some amazing music of horror and decay by some great bands.

  Mystery, horror, craziness, fun, decay, hallucinations, humor, dance beats, they are all here!

 If you love darkwave, gothic and deathrock you'll enjoy this compilation. I think this has never been released in cd and the vinyl record is really rare. My favorite track is "Vegas" - a monolithic gothic masterpiece!

Venus In Furs - New Horizon (LP, vinyl rip). 2010.

   Venus In Furs is another excellent dark wave/gothic band from the Greek '80's. Their sound was early gothic rock with a strange and deep melancholy running through all the songs.
   Despite however, their exceptional live appearances and their 3 demos, recorded from summer 1985 until their final split in 1993, their only musical inheritance was the extremely rare album “New Horizon”, in 13 copies!! The limited number of copies resulted due to numerous technical sound problems that lead to the discontinuance of the album’s production.
   20 years later, the founding members of the band met again to play and record these legendary songs. The result was this beautiful album, released in 2010 by B-other Side records in limited number of copies (250), in vinyl only.

This is authentic '80's dark wave/gothic by a highly inspired band. Venus In Furs still play and they have a new album called "Dead Europe" which you can order here

Not 2 Without 3 - End of the day / Under the flag (7" single, 1985 recordings, vinyl rip). 2012.

   Not 2 Without 3 was one of the most active and inspired bands among the greek new wave scene in the beggining of the '80's.
    Nevertheless their only vinyl appearance was two songs in the legendary compilation "Outsiders" in 1985. 
   Almost 30 years later two more songs are coming from the dark past to the darker present!
   Not 2 Without 3's anxious gloomy sound, inspired from the dark english scene of that time, seems to fit perfectly in today's social atmosphere.
   So if you have a record player you may still have the time to order this excellent packaged vinyl single from the site of Eirkti. The record was released in limited number of copies (400) in vinyl only in 2012.

   Another diamond from the greek darkwave scene of the '80's!
