  Pi, also titled π, is a 1998 American surrealistic psychological thriller film written and directed by Darren Aronofsky in his directional debut. The film earned Aronofsky the Directing Award at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival, and the Gotham Open Palm Award. The title refers to the mathematical constant π.

The film tells the story of a paranoid mathematician who is searching for the key number that will unlock the universal patterns found in nature. Of course the CIA is watching from a distance. Also a strange kabbalistic sect keeps an eye on him, waiting for the results of his work.

   The soundtrack is exactly like the movie. Obscure, dark electronics by some of the best. Clint Mansell, Autechre, Massive Attack, Aphex Twin are some of the artists that created this futuristic dystopian soundtrack. A true masterpiece.

"In Goth Daze" - VA Compilation (LP, vinyl rip). 1989

   This strange and rare compilation (the full title is "In goth daze - Now that's what we call real music") was released in England by Flicknife records back in 1989 and it includes some amazing music of horror and decay by some great bands.

  Mystery, horror, craziness, fun, decay, hallucinations, humor, dance beats, they are all here!

 If you love darkwave, gothic and deathrock you'll enjoy this compilation. I think this has never been released in cd and the vinyl record is really rare. My favorite track is "Vegas" - a monolithic gothic masterpiece!

Β-23. Fragmenta 1 & 2 (7" EP's, vinyl rip). 1990.

This is a part of history!

 "Stis Skies tou B-23" was one of the best greek fanzines back in the 80's and '90's. Some issues were released with vinyl records  (compilations with some of the best greek undergound bands of that time) under the name "Fragmenta".

Here are the first two records, both of them in 7" vinyl disc with 4 bands each.

Anti was a now legendary synth - punk group while Panx Romana is a straight punk rock band still active with many followers all these years. This song here is one of their best.

Viridian Green is a project by Stefanos Glaufx and they had an experimental dark electro sound. R.R. Hearse was one of the protagonists of the underground scene of the '80's, doing experimental noise stuff, and this is his only vinyl release.

   Sarka is a punk (kind of!) band and you can visit their website here. Petunia Pig was an almost all girl pop punk band from Patra (check also this post).
   Erevos was a dark wave band active during the '90's and Lost Bodies is a now legendary duo with a unique punk/experimental sound. This is their first appearance in vinyl but since then they've done a lot of records and gigs becoming one of the most beloved greek bands.

Dark Ages - A Cyberdelia records compilation (2005).

  This is a rare compilation from 2005 with some of the best greek "darkwave" bands, published with the greek magazine "Rock and Roll" in April 2005. 
   Cyberdelia was a greek independent record company focused in the dark side of the greek rock scene. The label is a creation of Mike Pougounas, leader of the gothic band Flowers of Romance and later Nexus and New Zero God.
  Pougounas created Cyberdelia Records on March 9, 2000, and on May 19, Cyberdelia released Nexus's debut album, entitled 6.

    Cyberdelia Records released albums for popular European bands such as Wayne Hussey’s The Mission. In 2005, both Cyberdelia and Nexus disbanded, and a year later Mike Pougounas formed the post-punk New Zero Go.

The music here moves betwwen ethereal and industrial, gothic rock and experimental.
