Human Puppets - T.V. Eye / Human Puppets (7" single, vinyl rip). 2010.

   Human Puppets is a greek minimal synth / darkwave band from Athens. Active since 2004, they have 2 vinyl singles and 2 LP's untill now. 
   They remind me the best moments of the synth punk and minimal wave of the 80's and they are highly inspired by the greek scene of that era. 
   They started as a duo (Nikos K., Stathis L.) and a drum machine but they use a real drummer sometimes.
   All of you out there who are in love with the new wave of the '80's will be impressed by this band.
This 7" single was released in 2010 in limited number of copies (300) in vinyl only by 5th-Floor_Entertainment label and it's their third release, after the single "Untittled" (2005) and the LP "The future from the past" (2006).
Their last release is the LP "Sounds of Solitude" (2011).

Art of Parties - Last Time / Central Room (7" single, vinyl rip). 1984

This is one of the most beautiful singles of the '80s greek rock scene!

Art of Parties was a neo-romantic/synth - new wave band from Athens with a serious melancholic sound. They recorded this single for Creep Records in 1984. In 1990 they released an LP ("Elements") but they will stay in history of the greek post punk scene thanx to these two great songs!

Colin Newman - It Seems (1988)

 Colin Newman was the singer and guitar player for the legendary english punk group The Wire. They were one of the best bands of the first wave of punk, due to their unique, sophisticated, sharp edged punk miniatures. Later they developed their sound, under the influence of pop, neo-psychedelia and electronica. 

When the band temporarily split in 1980, Newman pursued a solo career. His first solo LP, A-Z, was released in 1980 on the Beggar's Banquet label.

"It Seems" is his fifth album, released at 1988, it was his second for Crammed Discs label, after "Commercial Suicide", and it keeps the tradition: beautifull songs with delicate melodies and - something new - wide use of sequencers — something Newman would continue to work with for a number of years. Both Crammed albums featured Malka Spigel, from Israeli dark/ electronic band Minimal Compact.
