The Reporters - Computer world / I wanna know (7" single, vinyl rip). 1982.

   This is the 4th release of legendary Creep Records. The Reporters were the side project of Kostas Pothoulakis who at the same time was playing for Villa 21. 

   Faraway from the raw dark sound of Villa 21, The Reporters were much more "new wave" - wide use of synthesizers and melancholic atmosphere. They released this single and an LP ("Bare Hands", 1983) both under the Creep label.
Kraut rock and english darkwave are the leading influences but the band managed to create a distinctive sound due to Kostas vocals and the use of synthesizers.

   Both records are dark synth/wave masterpieces with all the originality of the '80's.

Art of Parties - Last Time / Central Room (7" single, vinyl rip). 1984

This is one of the most beautiful singles of the '80s greek rock scene!

Art of Parties was a neo-romantic/synth - new wave band from Athens with a serious melancholic sound. They recorded this single for Creep Records in 1984. In 1990 they released an LP ("Elements") but they will stay in history of the greek post punk scene thanx to these two great songs!

Yell - O - Yell. Shoot the truth E.P. (1982)

This is an excellent piece of art from the greek post punk scene back at the '80's. Yell O Yell was one of the best bands and this 7 inch record was the first, both for the band and Creep Records, the most important independent greek label ever!

Yell O Yell created an almost unbearable darkwave/blues sound later (Funtime E.P. at 1983 and Hello Hell LP at 1984), heavily ifluenced by Birthday Party and Nick Cave, but still the personality of the band is alive and kicking, proving that the Birthday Party influence is just the start for a trip into hell combined with great music!

The band (after Creep Records disbanded at 1987) had another LP called "13" at Smash Records (all these records are rare today and very expensive).

At 1990, the leader and singer of the band, Fill Scars, died and the band passed to history...

But the records stay, to remind this hidden diamond of the greek post punk scene...
