Catastrophe Ballet formed at Pitburg - Germany in 1989 and after the release of this LP they started touring with great bands of the gothic scene (Shadow Project, Cassandra Complex, Die Krupps...).
They added some electronic and industrial elements in their music later but this first record is guitar based first class gothic rock with the influence of Fields of the Nephilim mix with the influence of Bauhaus and Christian Death. The last song of this mini LP was a huge succes in the start of their career, one of the best gothic songs of that time.

Πάντα νόμιζα πως το συγκρότημα αυτό είχε κάποια κοινή δραστηριότητα-συγγένεια με τους Christian Death. Σε αυτό φταίει και το όνομα...Catastrophe Ballet που είναι και αγαπημένο άλμπουμ από τους C.D. Όμως στην πορεία ανακάλυψα πως πρόκειται για ένα από τα συγκροτήματα που ανήκουν στους "Godfathers of German Gothic" μαζί με τους Marquee Moon, Asmodi Bizaar, Malaria, Deine Lakaien, No More, αλλά και τους καταπληκτικούς Cyan Revue.

Το Catastrophe Ballet είναι κι εμένα το αγαπημένο μου από Christian Death. Όμωε κι αυτό το δισκάκι ηταν από τα πιο πολυακουσμένα μου στα 90's. Έχουν ταλέντο αν και δεν τους πολυπαρακολούθησα αργότερα.
